ENZYMES AT WORK
If you
are looking for healthy weight loss and/or a healthy body, consider enzymes.
The human body cannot exist without them. Enzymes are the “real” life of all
“real” food. Remove the enzymes and you are left with an inert material that,
when eaten, requires your pancreas to produce enzymes in order to break that
substance down into useable parts your body can use to build and maintain
itself.
Research
has found that when animals were given cooked food, the pancreas of each animal
grew to three times the normal size for the same type of animal fed on raw
natural food.
You might ask, “Is having a big pancreas good
or bad?” Isn’t it a good thing to have a big, strong pancreas? Compare that
enlarged pancreas to an enlarged heart. When obstructions are formed in blood
vessels that are partially clogged or undo pressure is applied to them such as
when bodies are overweight, it obstructs blood flow forcing the heart to
overwork and become enlarged.
These
abnormal situations eventually take their toll by starving the heart for the
very blood it is trying to pump or another organ that becomes diseased from
deprivation. The pancreas too becomes enlarged because of being overworked
creating enzymes that are destroyed by cooked and processed foods. Our bodies
become enlarged with the poor diets we feed it while producing other diseases
at the same time.
As I
mentioned before, I was stricken with rheumatoid arthritis at age 40 and had it
not been for a book by Adele Davis called “Let’s Get Well,” I’m convinced that I
would be in a wheel chair today. I. At the time, no one knew that there is a
connection between poor digestion and arthritis. I began to gain weight and
reached two hundred and thirty two pounds before I began to develop a heart
arrhythmia. It shows how one thing leads to another and how one malfunction
leads to another. Again, I feel fortunate in finding someone who put a working
plan together for healthy weight loss and have lost thirty seven pounds. I’m
sharing it here for anyone who would like to hear to what they have to say.
It
seems to be more common to think of losing weight to improve appearance rather
than think your health is being jeopardized because you can be somewhat
overweight and not feel any pain or discomfort. The clothing just begins to
feel a little tighter but the mirror is the real clincher and tells you it’s
time to lose some weight.
Why
are enzymes important in losing weight? To begin with, digestion is
accomplished because of enzymes as is every other living activity in your body.
It is the lack of enzymes that help, to bring about your weight gain in the
first place. 3,000 or more enzymes have been identified. As I mentioned before,
every living thing contains the enzymes needed to break it down (digest it). A
apple, in the process of rotting, is being digested (broken down) by the
enzymes which it contains unless it is cooked and the spleen must work harder
to produce the enzymes..
Digestion,
in Chinese medicine is referred to as rotting and the proof that rotting is an
apt term for it is in the odor of the stomach’s contents. The process is just
being speeded up by first chewing and mixing it with enzymes in the saliva then
sending it for greater and more diversified enzyme action in the digestive tract.
Our
bodies make at least twenty two identifiable enzymes but it is obvious that it
is very few compared to the three thousand that have been identified. Poorly
digested food is a source of weight gain
especially in foods that contain fats and sugars whether natural or otherwise.
I hope this will be of help and will bring more tomorrow.
