DIET STRATEGY
Hello
friend. It is encouraging to know that research is uncovering many of the
enemies to good diet for health as well as more of the beneficial discoveries
in natural foods. The discouraging part is that in order for you, your friends
and neighbors to find out about those trans-food enemies and friendly foods, we
must search for them and learn through each other rather than through the good
news page of your newspaper. If you’ve never found that page with all the great
health and diet breakthroughs, don’t feel too bad. I haven’t either but I Just
keep searching and asking.
Those
new discoveries are being made every day and not only the new discoveries but
the good ones that were made decades ago, but for some reason never made it to
the headlines but were relegated to an obscure spot inside somewhere or on the
back page. You must know that your health is the most important thing you have.
Both the good news and the bad news need to be shouted from the housetops.
Artificial
sweeteners are really popular because everyone knows that sugar is our enemy.
But how harmful is aspartame that is added to most diet drinks? I personally
met an airline pilot that very nearly lost his license due to the many mistakes
he was making but he was diagnosed with a condition brought on by aspartame in
time to stop the damaging effects and save his job.
What
does it do? For starters, it is known to cause depression, brain tumors, brain
cancers, optic nerve damage, seizures, and memory loss in experimental animals.
In spite of the fact that you place yourself above an animal, are you willing
to be a guinea-pig, to find out if it will hurt you too? Is it worth the risk
to go ahead and consume it as though you had been told beyond a doubt that it
is perfectly safe?
Chlorine
is another substance in question but is consumed by people living in almost
every city in the US. Chlorine gas was used in World War one to kill the enemy
but many people drink it anyway. If you have ever had a fish tank or bowl and
you use chlorinated water you have probably been told to let the water stand
for twenty four hours before adding fish to it so that the chlorine gas will
escape If not, you probably have had dead fish instead.
How
much does it take to inflict damage and who really determines what the safe
level is for the use of these elements. We can only hope it’s not the same
people who release prescription drugs that must be pulled from the drug market
in a few months because they are causing too many illnesses and fatalities.
What
is happening on the cellular level of your body where you cannot see it? I
recall reading the work of a Dr who said in effect, “If you think you have a
lot of scars on your body, it is nothing compared to the ones on the inside.
Prozac
is often prescribed for nervous school children and is known to have a side
effect of producing suicidal tendencies while in the meantime, a very simple
substance which has been used for many decades will do the same thing in mild
cases of depression as the Prozac without the dangers of Prozac. Dieticians
have been telling us to eat fish at least twice a week for the omega three
which is also the beneficial substance in cod liver oil.
These
things I mention are merely the tip of the iceberg in some of the new discoveries
being made. Although I am anxious to get to the things in a healthy diet that
will rebuild some of the damage you may have experienced it is extremely necessary
for you to fire the demolition foods, look at those box labels and to begin
removing them from your diet and start replacing them with a fresh, healthy
diet. Feed your body right and it will take care of any weight problem you may
